Equine volunteering
Our hands-on program includes day to day care of our horses, from feeding to training. The included educational sessions offer you the opportunity to learn about stable management, horse care, horse training and natural horsemanship. Our programs are not limited to working with horses but will also be fun-filled with other activities such as bushwalks, wildlife educationals and meaningful community outreach projects where you will get a glimpse of contemporary rural community life.
Our program is designed for you to experience South Africa at its best: its cultural diversity, natural, scenic beauty and wide range of activities guarantee you the adventure of a lifetime! Our location opens possibilities to explore, from pristine Indian Ocean Beaches to Big 5 game reserves and Cultural Interactions.
Life in Africa is quite unpredictable, not one day is the same. Although your volunteering coordinator will guide you through your weekly schedule, your day might change along the way. It's all part of the adventure ;-)
You will have weekly off days on which you can either relax at the lodge pool or join us on optional activities.
In general your days will look like this:
Morning:
- Breakfast

- Community project/wildlife activity/educational
- Lunch
Afternoon:

You will usually have your evenings off to relax although we do have some evening fun planned for you, like going to a bush bar, spending the night stargazing or roasting marshmallows around the campfire.
